Lisconn is pleased to announce that In-Tech Electronics Sdn. Bhd., our manufacturing facility in Penang, Malaysia, has been granted Nadcap accreditation for Electronics Cable and Harness Assemblies (AC7121).
Penang already holds Nadcap accreditation for printed circuit board assemblies (AC7120). With this latest award, both our Penang and Dongguan facilities are now accredited in both disciplines, giving Lisconn two sites with dual Nadcap accreditation. Nadcap accreditation is rare, and holding it across two disciplines at more than one location places Lisconn in a select group of manufacturers serving the aerospace, defence and space sectors.
What is Nadcap?
Nadcap (the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) is an industry-managed programme administered by the Performance Review Institute (PRI). Accreditation is only granted after in-depth audits by specialist auditors and review by an industry Task Group, and it is recognised by leading aerospace, defence and space manufacturers worldwide as evidence that a supplier’s special processes meet the highest standards.
The audit
The three-day audit took place at our Penang facility from 9 to 11 September 2026, against the AC7000 general criteria and the AC7121 criteria for cable and harness assemblies, including the supplementary standards for soldering, splices and ultrasonic welding. The scope covered processes such as crimping, contact and sealing plug installation, marking and labelling, mechanical testing, protective coverings, sleeving and shrink tubing, and thermal wire stripping.
All audit findings were subsequently closed and approved by PRI, and accreditation was formally granted in November 2026. In-Tech Electronics will now be listed on the Nadcap Qualified Manufacturers List (QML) on eAuditNet.
Why dual accreditation matters
Circuit boards and the cables and harnesses that connect them work together in the finished product, so quality assurance needs to cover both. With Nadcap accreditation for PCBAs and for cable and harness assemblies at both Dongguan and Penang, customers can source board-level and interconnect work from accredited facilities in China and Malaysia, simplifying supplier approval and giving greater flexibility and resilience in their supply chain.
We would like to thank the Penang team for their dedication and teamwork throughout the preparation and audit process.
